Because you have been such good boys and girls, I got you all a Christmas present: a brand-spanking-new 12 slot JKA server. It should be available sometime in the next 24 hours.
Enjoy! ;D

Holy smokes Derv! So I can retire as the XA server guy! Thanks so much. Any help you need with setting up server settings let me know. What mod you are you using depends on what I can contribute. I'll get my jka cd out tomorrow. Wow I feel like a jka noob, this will be fun!

I have no idea how to do any of it, lol. If you could stick ja+ on there, that would be great.

Hmm...ja+ (and a bunch of other mods) seems to be on there already. i wish i knew what i was doing, lol. i think it's now set up for ja+ ver. 2.4 beta 6. i can't seem to find a way to change the server name, though.

I still can't actually play the game, so someone else will have to tell me if it's working or not. It's not showing up on ASE. :\

Sweet. When I wake up in the morning (feeling like P Diddy) I'll try it out.

What's your current email Derv, I can send you the configuration file from the last server I rented. It has the values set and passwords set as in the past XA and SR jka servers. Check jk3file.com, there is a program you can download for setting values for weapons, force powers, etc. Or it might be in the japlus mod itself or provided by mammothgames, I forget. The config file I have for you as I recall allows saber only, force jump, all three saber styles. Also the mammothgames.com tech help is very prompt and helpful. If you want I can upload what you need, just need to install jka so I can test it. Maybe tomorrow.

JA+ 2.2 is the one we want.

JA+ 2.2 is the one we want. ja+ 2.4 beta 6 is the only version pre-loaded by Mammoth. I'll have to manually load any different version we'd want. I'm sure the server plays funky right now, since I don't have a game disc (yet) and haven't had a chance to see what changes I have wrought. thanks for the update.

Ok, so someone at Mammoth installed 2.2 for me, but it seemed to make a big mess, so I did a clean install of the server and tried to install it myself. I got the files on the server, but I had no idea how to get it up and running, so I had it re-install 2.4.6 and just swapped the server.cfg with the one from v. 2.2. We'll see how that works. lol.
