Man i wonder what i could buy with 2.8 thousand dollars.
Im not fond of lap tops. So a desktop it is.
Now for 2.8k ============= Full Tower ATX Case- Asus Striker Extreme MOBO/w Fans heatsink and PSupply Quad processor 3.0ghz Intel 64 4 gbs of ram 7900 Geforce-Series Graphics Card DVD Burner CD rom Sound Card 20" widescreen monitor/Or windows XP. 400gb Hardrive =============
Now compairing this to a Macbook "Pro"
2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1680 x 1050 pixels 2GB memory 160GB hard drive1 8x double-layer SuperDrive NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics with 256MB SDRAM

Lets give a hooray to mac for sucking once again.
Both Computer hard ware, and Mac book cost the same
Actually. I saved 20 dollars by making the computer.

hmm...the mac's video card is a little better, but not by much. you should have got raedon, though. what kind of sound card?

hmm...the mac's video card is a little better, but not by much. you should have got raedon, though. what kind of sound card? I know its fairly expensive 140 dolalrs, and it's a soundblaster. And yes, i prefer Raedon better. But i was compairing a Nvidia card to a Nvidia card. Over all performance on mine would blow that 5 cent hooker (whom charges 2.8k) laptop out of the water.

Well first off you're comparing a laptop to a desktop. You're never going to get similar performance specs in the same price range comparing laptop to desktop. The more compact tech is almost always more expensive. And second, you're comparing a mac to a PC (For gaming, I assume)? Again, you're hardly ever going to find a mac that is set up for gaming, that's just the way it is.

Again, you're hardly ever going to find a mac that is set up for gaming, that's just the way it is. Mainly comparing a Mac laptop to a homebuilt PC desktop is going to be a large price difference. You can't even compare a PC laptop to a PC desktop, let alone Mac which does have a larger price tag.
